Tenth of November Museum and Hero Monument
Tenth of November Museum & Hero Monument celebrates the victory of the local resistance fighters and commemorates the heroic battle of the 10 November 1945. The museum, officially opened in 2000, is located inside the Hero Monument complex and is one of the main tourist attractions in Surabaya.
The museum features a recording of the fiery voice of Bung Tomo speaking to the people ti ignite their passion for independence. Several static dioramas display the heroic actions of Surabaya's youths, who, armed only with sharpened bamboos, fought a winning battle against the oppressors.
